Hi all,

Well have now gone a bit silly… anyway some form of karma got me as immediately ended up with a big bill for something serious on other car just after I pressed buy…

Yes, I am still undecided on what to do with mine now, but my valves are now rattling more as they are held open by the bolts. I think I will need to chop the valves out soon.

I'm following your investigations with interest! Chapeau!

Ideally a solution that could be turned on and off somehow, but I doubt that's possible starting with 4.2 back boxes.
I wonder what the tubis sounded like without the larini cats.

I could put a cable onto the levers I have welded to the valves, but I would have to stop them rattling and the valves seem to make so little difference.

I am wondering what the Tubis look like inside. Would be quite easy to make my back boxes match.

Also does anyone know what's inside the 4.7 back boxes and how does the vacuum valve alter the flow in them when it's opened?

Nice video, you got a great deal on that even with those miles and cat S.
Have a good look at the subframes (mostly front) as I’d expect some rust unless already been treated properly.
Enjoy.
Good news is that new subframes are available once again.
